Anybody finding any shed antlers this spring?  I am striking out so far but Daniel found this matched BFAD2999-A6CC-4AAB-A4BA-516EA26DB48F.png  set while turkey hunting in GA today....

Jeff, I Was out a couple times here in PA With no success ,it’s good I do it to enjoy the outdoors because I suck at it only ever found two sets while turkey hunting one whitetail set and a Elk set. That’s a nice set Daniel found good to see him out getting it done

Maybe you should invest in one of those antler sniffing dogs. I hear they are quite good at finding them. My buddies in New Mexico use 15X60 binoculars and spotting scopes to scour entire hillsides for elk sheds. They usually make $300 - 400 per year collecting them. The buyers ship them to Asia where they are made into some sort of Viagra.

I have looked for a couple weekends on my place, but no luck yet.  We are in "Shelter in Place" here in Michigan, but at least I can go walk around on my place to keep my sanity.

We still have about 6” of snow in the woods. Every time I want to go out it snows a bit more. I’m just starting to train a new pup for shed hunting. He has a strong retrieving drive so far but at 12 weeks he won’t get out much until next year.

Message_1584383480394.jpg  20200316_131118.jpg Just these two so far. Usually get a half dozen or so every year but this year my food plots had no sheds at all in them. Based on trail cameras that I left out all winter it looked like the deer hammered the plots heavy early and had them cleaned up before antlers dropped.

Not shed antlers but at least some reward for several miles of hiking in the turkey woods this am...

I had dozens of bucks on our farm this past season in SE Indiana.  I confirmed through camera and scouting that they were bedding on the property in the cedars and briars.  I expected come spring there would be sheds everywhere.  Not a single one!  I put a camera back out and sure enough the same bucks were walking around without antlers but there were none on the property.  I had a couple photos of one younger buck over three days with both antlers, then a single, then none but never found any of them.

I joke that I can spot a stone point 50 yards away in our fields but can't find an antler or Morel to save my life.

was out yesterday looking, notta!   Did get a few pictures of bucks still carrying head gear.  Who knows this weather has been crazy.  Was in the 80's just a few days ago and then we get 2 mornings in a row with frost.  ðŸ™„
